Apple patches 43 flaws in OS, QuickTime

Apple Computer has some clever television commercials and a reputation for being safer than Microsoft Windows, but even Apple needs a massive patch batch sometimes. The latest is a collection of 31 patches for 43 bugs, 24 of which could let attackers run their own programs. This is Apple’s third security update for the year and it affects OS X clients as well as servers.
