Nokia announces N82 media phone

Nokia’s N-series devices are pretty much the cream of the crop as far as Symbian-powered media phones are concerned, so it’s welcome news that Nokia is adding yet another phone to the lineup. Say hello to the newest member of the N-series family, the N82. Tucked inside this candybar you’ll find that familiar Symbian S60 variant, a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and xenon flash, a microSD expansion slot, WiFi, A-GPS and a 2.4 inch QVGA display. As far as cellular radios are concerned, you’ll find a quad-band GSM/EDGE radio. Not so fast, Americans–HSDPA is only available on the 2100MHz band–so non-Eurasians should look elsewhere for the time being. With any luck, however, we’ll see a North American version of this device soon, as we did with the N95. Available now direct from Nokia in Europe for €450 (just over $650).
