Sony Vaio TZ touches down on American shores

A few months ago, we gave you a sneak peek at a sleek new ultraportable Sony was launching in Japan: the Vaio TZ. Weighing in at less than three pounds, measuring just a shade over 11″ diagonally and sporting some heavy-duty hardware like a zippy Core 2 Duo, an LED-backlit, high-rez display, a 32GB SSD and Rev. A EV-DO, this Vaio is, essentially, a business traveler’s dream come true. Did I mention it has almost 8 hours of battery life? Of course, there’s a catch: the $3,000 price tag. However, if money’s not an issue, you might just have a TZ in your future–and if money’s really not an issue, you might want to make that a high-end, limited edition TZ.
