Cisco, Apple patch security glitches

A variety of Cisco Systems edge routers, authentication tools and service management software were found to contain a user privileges bug, officials said. The bug could let attackers control wireless routers, and patches are available. Cisco also released patches for its network operating system, to protect against attackers rebooting router control cards. Meanwhile, Apple released a patch covering Sun Microsystems' Java, for which details are not yet public.
