IE7 hoax packs a Trojan punch
If you haven't yet deployed IE7, you might want to send out a warning to all of those wannabe power users who tend to take things into their own hands. An official-looking graphic has been circulating around the Internet, soliciting users to download "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2"--a release that, as us real geeks know, is now quite outdated. Users who click on the ad are immediately prompted to download a file called "ie7.exe," which is in reality--you guessed it--a Trojan horse. Check out the fake ad at ZDnet and make sure that your end users are aware of the scam.
